Newsletter - SOLEX SUN – Issue 2 2025 – BUILD-UP LIVE! - It's lights out, and away we go

Last year saw the launch of our very first SOLEX Awards & Afterparty Event – and what a night it turned out to be! Joined by the brilliant Dion Dublin, we enjoyed delicious food, fantastic company, and cheered as Spain triumphed over France 2-1. To be honest, we weren’t sure how we were going to top such an incredible evening – the bar was set pretty high!

Well, believe it or not, we’ve managed to do it! With the excitement of the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone as our inspiration, we’re bringing all the thrills and spills of the racetrack to the VOX on Tuesday 8th July.

We’ll be off the starting grid by 18:30 with beer and bubbles, followed by the one and only David “Crofty” Croft joining us for the evening to share the inside track on all things F1 and will also help present the prestigious SOLEX Awards.

From 8pm, you’ll be treated to a feast inspired by racetracks from around the globe. Take your pick from the Shanghai International Circuit Oriental Bun House, the Circuit of the Americas Street Food, the Silverstone Chippy or the Circuit De Spa Francorchamps Belgium Waffle Station.

We’re also thrilled to offer four F1 Silverstone Simulators – and we hope everyone has a go! The top four racers will battle it out for the coveted LOFA Cup in a final race, complete with live commentary from Sky’s top F1 Commentator.

We can’t wait to share this high-octane evening of networking, fun, and fantastic food with you!

BBQ Expertise with The Shropshire Lad

Wednesday 9th June will take a more relaxed pace, focusing on fire and food. We’re delighted to welcome The Shropshire Lad, Adam Purnell, to the Loving Outdoor Living area. Adam will spend time with each of our BBQ exhibitors (see the schedule), sharing his expert hints and tips to help you get the very best out of every BBQ.

Adam is a true master of ‘fire cookery’. Winner of Heston Blumenthal’s Netflix and Channel 4 show Crazy Delicious, and a critic on MasterChef: The Professionals, Adam has been described as ‘one of the leaders in the UK street food and pop-up scene.’
